About
General
I’m a Senior Systems Administrator for a world-renowned research hospital and wanted to share some of the many strange issues that I’ve run across with others. Having learned much from the Blogs of other SysAdmins out there, I felt it was time to give back. This isn’t my first time at the dance though, as I was also the founder of the certification portal MCSE World. I’ve since passed the reigns over to a great friend from Down Under.
I’ve written or contributed to over 20 published technical books, most of them dealing with specific Microsoft certification exams and many other online articles for various Web sites, some still operational, others not. I’ve also had the pleasure to visit the Redmond campus of Microsoft twice now to perform standards setting (establishing the minimum pass point) for certification exams. One day I hope to get back to Redmond to attend the Exchange Architect course…but I’m not holding my breath on that one.

I tend to make most of my exams as betas and pass them, so I’ve been lucky in that regard to not spend an awfully large amount on exams. Be sure to keep an on the Beta Exam Announcements blog if you are interested in certification and beta exams.
Outside IT
When I’m not busy at work, I love to spend time with my family…they are the reason for working so hard. TV, reading (non technology related) , ice hockey and XB0X 360 are my choices for relaxation when the time is available.
